Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was a German-born (14 March 1879 to 18 April 1955) theoretical physicist who is widely held as one of the most influential scientists. Best known for developing the theory of relativity, Einstein also made important contributions to quantum mechanics.
Richard Feynman
Richard Feynman (11 May 1918 to 15 February 1988) was an American theoretical physicist, known for his work in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics, the theory of quantum electrodynamics. He later helped to discover the cause of the NASA Shuttle ‘Challenger’ disaster.
To get a feel for his personality, I recommend the book: ‘Surely You’re Joking Mt Feynman‘. There was also, back in the early 1980’s, a BBC TV Horizon documentary shown in the UK called: ‘The Pleasure of Finding Things Out’. (See a snippet, below)
